Spartan Locker for Dana 30 Differential Locker 27 Spline

The SLD3027 Front Differential Locker is compatible with a variety of Ford, Jeep, and Volvo vehicles. For Ford, it fits the Aerostar from 1986-1989 and the Bronco from 1966-1971, both with a Dana 30 front differential and 27 spline.

Jeep compatibility includes the Cherokee from 1984-2001, the CJ5 from 1971-1983, the CJ6 from 1971-1975, the CJ7 from 1976-1986, the Comanche from 1986-1992, the Commando from 1967-1973, the Grand Cherokee from 1993-1998, the Grand Wagoneer from 1984-1991, the Scrambler from 1981-1985, the Wagoneer from 1971-1973, and the Wrangler from 1987-2017. All of these Jeep models require a Dana 30 front differential with 27 spline.

For Volvo, the SLD3027 Locker is compatible with the 142, 144, 164, 240, 242, 245, and 265 models from 1970-1993, all of which have a Dana 30 rear differential with 27 spline.

The package includes one SLD3027 Front Differential Locker, which is a replacement part with the part numbers SL D30-27, SLD30-27, and SLD3027.

When driving in a straight line, the locker will lock the axles together, similar to a spool. However, during turns, the locker will allow the outer wheels to rotate faster, enabling the vehicle to complete the turn. This is achieved through the internal gears on the locker, which can override each other to provide this differentiation.
